Marry the Night Lyrics

I’m gonna Marry the Night
I won’t give up on my life
I’m a warrior queen
Live passionately
Tonight.

I'm gonna Marry the night
Gonna make love to the stars.
I'm a soldier to my own emptiness.
I'm a winner.

Gonna Marry the Night
Gonna...

Gaga depicts the beginning of her life/career by showing the "dark" parts - albeit mental institution - and how she overcame those struggles. It is likely why she cried and told the nurse she was going to be a star. She's known from the beginning. Once she overcame those troubled years, she got into her passion, as seen in the video, and embraced her love for singing, dancing and music through NYC's art schools. The end scene with the script on her hand shows an audition time - her time to give it her all. That was the night she could change her life, her night to leave nothing behind. The scene of her clasping her hands and praying is hoping she got the role.

And you got it, Gaga, you damn sure got it.

I think that the song is about accepting the loser part of ourselves. If You Marry the night (your dark part) it means that you are not going to be dominated by your fears but you just accept your weakness. And, for me, only if you accept your own weakness you can be truly strong.

Maybe New York helped Gaga to accept her own dark parts.

It could describe a commitment to single life, and almost finding joy in being a loser through discarding a pretense of perfection - 'kiss the bartender twice, im a loser'. 'Marry the night' also seems to mean take hold of opportunity. It has a personal meaning for her, but could be taken in loads of different ways.

Every successful musician always has a song dedicated to satan. It ensures them success in this world, as they sell their soul for the riches of this world.
Lady Gaga’s Marry the night is her love song to the devil. After experiencing failure in the industry, She chose to sell her soul for fame and fortune. She is marrying the night (the darkness which is the devil). She admits she’s a sinner, and offers herself to the devil as his bride.
If you watch the music video at the very end you will see her descent into the pit of hell to be with the devil for all of eternity. Little does she know that she will be in eternal torment in the flames of hell if she does not repent and ask Jesus to save her.

It's intresting that no one found out that this title could have been a double entendre for "Marijuana The Night"!!!
This is possible coz she does have something to do with Marijuana.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

The music video meaning is about her first album rejection & how much she love NYC that she just wants to go back to the days when she used to preform at the bars n just Marry The Night. She loves the night. <3

I think this song was about being brave of marry the night while the meaning of night = dark, so it prefers to the dark side of ourselves that Gaga tried to help us to prove people that we must accept of be a creature of God. And, Gaga just proved us that she already "marry the night" in her real life ....

I'm not calling her a fohmweare, but she could easily look like that. Almost does already. But basically, people shouldn't be selfish and take chances away from others. She already got singing for God's sake. There are millions of potential actors who might need just the role she steels (if she'll ever do that). And no, I'm not one of those. And true, some celebs are there just for the fame. Most real celebs ( actors) are there coz they love acting and they want to do their best.

The title, "Marry The Night" is metaphorical. During an interview, Gaga appoints that the song was about her husband, New York City and the struggles that she faced when she lived there in her teenage years. For her, marrying the night means to honoring and cherishing the dark side of her because without the struggles, she wouldn't be who she is now. When she was dropped from her first record label, she cried, but she decided to "marry" or forgive her darkness, give her all and tear it apart. "I'm gonna marry the night, I won't give up on my life"-She would not let that bring her down.

I know what this song is about!

She said it all the time in interviews!

This song is about here/people letting go of everything in life to follow (marry) you inabition (her's was music/songwriting). Thats why in the music video, you see her journey to the top.

Side note- With many of Gaga's song and other songwriters they use methaphors, becuase they sound better, and depth to a song.

This song is about her having a mental break down and having to regain her "marriage" if you will of the night or her regular life

The song will continue to receive scores of diverging responses as long as individual views towards what Gaga actually stands for are involved.
On the one part, I can no longer remain unaware of the Illuminati rumors, whose symbolism in the MTH video, provided that most of the information I garnered on the Internet is reliable enough,is very much blatant.
Nonetheless, to say the track itself is pure evil sounds overly wrong. There is no reason whatsoever to stand it encourages the inappropriate lifestyle some of you spoke about previously, nor do I believe it is aimed at people who pursue a bouldless life of promiscuity.
To me it could about brooding about suicide,as the deep effect of being reviled and hated at school, but eventually choosing to find comfort in what's ugly/non-conformist about yourself (the night)by coming to terms with it.''Cruising'' could be a mere metaphore.
It's just a song, after all and it's mostly up to you what you want it to be for yoursel! I found it therapeutic after years of being bullied as a kid.

This song is classic Gaga. Lures you in with a sick beat and catchy tune that make you like it, then you realize the song actually has deeper meaning and you love it.

To me, the song is a statement about choosing a hedonistic lifestyle of pleasure and instant gratification. It's an anthem for all those who are fed up with boundaries and limits, and who are ready to throw all caution to the wind and give in to carnal urges. "Live passionately... soldier to my own emptiness... kiss the bartender twice/I'm a loser" All of these lines reiterate the central theme of desiring the forbidden and pursuing the dark despite popular opinion or circumstance. Instead of denial and struggle, why not just accept imperfection - and better yet, celebrate it?

Gaga is and will remain a legend because she can make you love a song before you realize why. She is a symbol our generation should be proud of because she proves that the most different and the most awesome are one in the same.

I think its about finally excepting your life and not wondering not what went wrong in life and what could have been. Thats the way some people live night by night bars clubs etc. Its also means giving up on tring to find a purpose or someone in life.
Hence, "Soldier to my own emptiness".

I think that marry the night is an illuminati song that features to promote evil, now don't get me wrong I am a gaga fan but I have to tell this on her video the first part I think is the walking into the clinic asleep with 2 nurses I think that means that before her friends or fake friends rather is pulling her down teasing her without any knowledge and the gummy bears is an award or something because her friend took her credit or something, the song itself I am gonna marry the night I think marry remove one r it means Mary the earth mother of Christ is referring mother monster marrying the illuminati group and be famous with every means possible and the touching part of the video is that she said: I am gonna be a star ... Because I have nothing left to lose" means that she wants Satan because on the bible satan's real name is lucifer means a star and she wants to give everything away just to be one. The ballerina still standing means her temporary fame and when she broke down she begged for arise and the naked scene is term of rejection and brake down on the car instead of normal entry she is on the top of the car symbolizing falling down like a shooting star and when she reached for the hard drive she drives and boom all cars explode the practice

I think it's about acceptance. Accepting your life, accepting your circumstances, and most poignantly, accepting yourself. It encourages you to embrace the dark parts of yourself; all your insecurities, fears and sorrows, and turn them into something beautiful, just like Lady Gaga took the worst day of her life and produced this song.
