This video tries to say no matter where you are in life it's better to focus on the good things in life rather than what is going bad. If you look at the music video. The scenes shift between one of battle (Kids playing basketball, the fight, the military pushups)and ones of happiness (the girls playing in the playground, the kids swimming, hanging out with friends, the poker scene, the partying scene and the getting married scene).
The last part where the guy in the run down part of town is smoking a cigarette is meant to resonate the fact why change anything? Life is still good, he still has friends and family. At the end of the day that is all that really matters.
