How to Love Lyrics

Cut the music up
A little louder
You had a lot of crooks tryna steal your heart
Never really had luck, couldn’t never figure out
How to love
How to love

You had a lot of moments that didn’t last forever
Now you in the corner tryna put it...

i think he's talking about a girl who has had their heart broken in the past. && has had many different guys who have crossed her path. they all try to steal her heart but they've never had luck. the relationships never last making her have insecurities about herself, if there's maybe something wrong with her. she's trying to put it together. but she cant figure it out.:/ she just wants to be loved but with her guards up & a closed heart she doesn't know how to love.. But he trys to explain to her that these crooks still are crooks aka players still playing the game. there was never anything wrong with her. he understands, comforts, assures her, tells her she's beautiful && unique unlike any other && always deserved the best..:)

I think he was talking about how he never knew how too love correctly, yuu know, not using pertection, not making love with love, ect. nn iht seems like hes lost, like he lost someone he actualy truely did love, that used him like he used uther gurls.

This song is about him and a guy in jail. He say's in "corner tryna put your act together" Meaning in jail tryna straighten your act, and he's also saying looking over your shoulder, meaning watching out by getting bum raped. And, he' says crooks trying to steal your heart< A crook is someone in jail/criminal.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

This song is about a young woman or individual who doesnt realizes the depths of her beauty. The narrarotor sounds as though he is trying to restore her inside and out. Lesson learned, love you despite what the world may have to say. We should watch what we say to each other. Its bad enough the kids of today are so cruel so adults, especially entertainers shouldnt make comments such as a young lady not being pretty enough because she's dark-skinned. Looks like Lil Wayne is taking a leap towards growing up.

I do not think that this song is about a prostitute just because it says that she admiring bartenders and strippers. Perhaps this girl that he is talking to is not as carefree and does not love as easily as these others do and she admires them for this reason. Also, he talks about her feeling insecure which I think has something to do with the reason she admired the strippers because she admired their confidence in themselves. Overall, I think this is a great song and it shouldn't be over interpreted.

he is talking TO young girls that have ever let one too many men into her heart that just tear a chunk out and leave. when this girl never had enough self esteem to begin with. they wander what men see when they look at them. cause obviosly they are not the prettiest they just dont want men to see them as un attractive. striping represents the low self esteem and detachment because they will never love any of the men they come into contact with therefore keeping them safe from heart break love represents in their minds. but lil wayne is sayin to all of us girls with these exact problem that we might not understand how pretty we are and he doesnt judge the fact that we have been hurt and that as much as we think it is, it isnt our fault that our ability to love has been crippled by so many jerks that in and out of our lives. and whether you beleive me or not...(or if i even beleive myself) your beautiful.<3

I think the song is about a prostitute. He talks about her being on the corner and admiring bartenders and strippers (higher on the socially acceptable list, but not highly thought of).

Lil wayne is talking about a girl who has had low self esteem and didnt ever see herself worth loving. He can see her inner and outer beuty and give her credit for both while telling her she should do the same. beatiful message :)

Lil Wayne could be talking about a first love of his that screwed him up or about a girl he wants to be his. This song is one of my favorites and the thing about lil wayne is his songs can mean anything to anyone so dont look into the lyrics too deep! Have an opinion(:

I believe that in this song , Lil Wayne is trying to talk to people that think of themselves as being 'ugly' . And he is trying to tell them you're beautiful and that's why he loves this girl . He's trying to tell her that she is not ugly and he's teaching her how to love herself and her looks and body !

its seems like he might be talking to someone or talking about himself possibly talking to a striper or someone who kept their heart closed but he wants them to know they deserve the best. I like the new side of lil wayne expecially after paradise. He is really maturing and understanding all that matters is love possibly? I do not agree with half the things lil wayne says or stands for but I love his voice
