Linkin Park: In The End Meaning
Song Released: 2001
In The End Lyrics
One thing I don't know why
It doesn't even matter how hard you try keep that in mind
I designed this rhyme to explain in due time
(All I know)
Time is a valuable thing
Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings...
-
Trust-
the "singer" or main person's point
you gave someone(or some people/everyone) your trust, and they've destroyed it. Bringing you down a lot. But now you're coming over it. You realise it doesn't matter if that person doesn't want you trust anymore(or that your trust doesn't matter to them)...
There'll always be someone else that's more worthy of your trust.. But that is.. If you'll find or can find this person(or people).
In the end it doesn't matter. Live your life. Put yourself first. -
I think this song is about any kind of relationship, whether it'd be a parent child relationship, and boyfriend girlfriend relationship, or just a friend relationship...Whatever it may be...I think it's about how they've had trouble in the relationship, and he's surprised that it made it that far..But it doesn't really matter because the relationship is over. That's just how I look at it.

Its about how you always lose in life because we're all heading to an end.

I`ll give you all my thoughts on this song I love this song and I feel like i`m living it right now. This song can mean so many things a guy girl relationship a friend relationship or just your relationship with the whole world your past this is my life right here this song. I`m not gonna break down the song for you because everyone is different but my thoughts are that pretty much everything in his life is messed up from when he started school being an outcast feeling alone and being the nicest person in the world but everyone turns away and he is lost. Finally getting a girlfriend and it turning bad never being able to open up to her and completely trust her and finally when he does its to late the relationship is over trying so hard to change and getting so far but didn't get far enough so in the end all the work he did didn't even matter. I don't know I could say a lot more but I don't want to spend an hour doing this.

This interpretation is one that none of you would have thought of because you are all wound up in the meanings having something to do with a relationship of a couple or how other people look at a person.
Infact it could be about a man or woman looking back on there teenage years as a young sports person, training all through there teenage years to achieve there goal of competing at the olympics. When all there efforts where for nothing, they only have a short time because they are only young once and only have one shot "as the pendulum ticks life away" training every morning and afternoon and "pushed as far as I can go" the sports person was so commited and always fought with his/her coach because the coach thought he/she trained to hard. The young sports person was always being mocked and picked on but only made him/her want to work harder " you wouldn't even recognise me anymore" meaning I've grown up into someone you wouldn't believe. "i've put my trust in you(the coach), pushed as far as I can go" the person is just letting the coach know that they have pushed them to their limit and they are the best they can be. "I had to fall to lose it all" this could mean something drastic happened to them to stop training for the sport they grew to love. "but IN THE END it doesn't even matter" -
This song is about having a previous relationship with someone which is broken up now.
"One thing I dont know why it doesnt even matter how hard you try" means why try when everything falls apart? "Time is a valuble thing" means you can't live your life sheltered, you have make with what time you have. "I tried so hard and got so far but in the end it doesnt even matter" means he did hid best, even more than that, actually, but they broke up eventually anyway.
