Marina and the Diamonds: Hermit the Frog Meaning
Hermit the Frog Lyrics
Oh, oh, ooh
Yeah, I feel I'm watered down
Whenever he's around
I put on the crown of clowns
And melt slowly to the ground
Yeah, I feel it coming on
When I've been static for too long
And an explosion comes in...

I think this song is about always being put down by tour lover while trying to make them proud or do your best to please them "he's looking for a dog, did you find your butch in me" "I'm feeling watered down whenever he's around, I put on the crown of clowns and melt slowly to the ground" I think these are showing her putting herself through things to change for him. Just my thoughts though!

I think the meaning is leaving a toxic relationship (ex. “You can take your double standard love and keep it“, “Yeah, I feel I'm watered down whenever he's around” and “He's looking for a dog. Did you find your bitch in me? Oh, you're abominable, socially” not too sure tho
