Oh No! Lyrics

Don't do love, don't do friends
I'm only after success

Don't need a relationship
I'll never soften my grip

Don't want cash, don't want card
Want it fast, want it hard
Don't need money, don't need fame
I just want to make a change

I believe this song is about something deeper than it comes off as. I start off saying that I very much like the 'aesthetic' of this song. It has the sound of an upbeat, happy song. However, this song has a slightly darker meaning. This is the second song, after 'Mowgli's Road', which I recommend you view an interpretation of that song first. Marina, in this song, is going through some sort of an existential crisis. She knows that "I'm gonna live, I'm gonna fly, I'm gonna fail, I'm gonna die..." And decides that she should do what makes her happy. This song is borderline confusing, as it is both depressing and uplifting. It depicts Marina's conclusion to her big decision from "Mowgli's Road". Marina knows that she isn't perfect, and nobody is. She knows that "If I fail, I'll fall apart'. And accepts her fame. She is no longer confused, and says, "I Know exactly what I want and who I want to be".

This is my 2nd favorite song. I don't think its about being a whore at all. I think it's a her knowing she's not perfect like people on TV, and not caring about anything but making herself as perfect, just like them.(I know what I want and who I want to be/I know exactly why I walk and talk like a machine/TV taught me how to feel and now real life has no appeal)

I think this song is about prostitution.
It says she doesn't want a relationship, but she wants money hard and fast. This is basically what you can get from being a prostitute.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
