She is trying to drink her pain away and is supposed to take her pain away, but really it's making her worse, and she's restless but can pass out at times, (shown in the music video), and all of her friends drink as well but not feel the same as her so she has no one to relate to.

It's like she's ashamed of what she's doing and she feels pain.
