    This is the eight song from Nightwishe's 2011 Imaginaerum Album.

    The Album is a concept piece about and old man reminiscing over his past life. Nightwishe's main composer/lyricist/writer Tuomas Holopainen takes inspiration from his own life experience and the events relating to the death of his Grandfather. Apparently he was called to his Grandfathers home to say goodby just 15 minutes before the man died.
    The last thing his Grandmother did for her husband was to wish him 'Good journey, love,time to go. Then she checked his teeth and warmed his toes. I presume he had false teeth she wanted him to be presentable in death.
    I also presume they were a sea fishing community hence the reference to the Mermaids taking his soul away.
