   This song reminds Zayn of his roots and perfect fit in the band. The boys sing, “When I first saw you/ from across the room/ I could tell that you were curious (oh yeah).” This line refers to the first time the boys’s eyes met on the set of The X Factor way back when their careers started. They all had an instant connection, and they want to remind Zayn of that. The go on to say, “But if you like causing trouble up in hotel rooms/ and if you like having secret little rendezvous/ if you like to do the things you know that we shouldn’t do.” Here the boys are reminding Zayn of his place in the band as the resident bad boy. Of course Zayn likes causing trouble up in hotel rooms. Of course he should reclaim his role as the misunderstood rebel of the group.

   I think it means he just had his breakup with someone and he's using her to get over his breakup. 'I might never be your knight in shining armor/ I might never be the one you take home to mother/ I might never be the one who brings you flowers' means he might break up with her and he might keep her. 'When I first saw you from across the room I could tell that you were curious/ girl I hope you're sure what you're looking for 'cuz I'm not good at making promises' that means he saw her somewhere and she was curious about him, and he might be the one she's looking for but he hopes she's sure about that. He's not good at making promises, meaning he may or may not get drunk...
   'If you like causing trouble up in hotel rooms/ if you like having secret little rendezvous/ if you like to so the things you know that we shouldn't do/ baby I'm perfect/baby I'm perfect for you' means they're going to keep it secret until they know for sure, and they're not supposed to meet up because there's a chance they may be seen in public, but they do anyway, so he's perfect for her.
   'I might never be the hand you put your heart in/ or the arms that hold you any time you want them/ but that don't mean that we can't live here in the moment/ I can be the one you love from time to time' means that since he has tour he might not be here for her all the time, they might break up for tour, so he can be the one she loves from time to time because she might love someone else while he's gone.

   'If you like cameras flashing every time we go out/ oh yeah/ if you're looking for someone to write your breakup songs about/ baby I'm perfect/ baby we're perfect' means paparazzi seeing them if and when they go official. If they break up, she can write her breakup songs about him.

   It's definitely about one night stand
   He can't take her home to his mother ( she's not his forever one) he's not going to buy her flowers but is not gonna do any of those things that you do when you really care about someone he just wants the perfect one for his one night stand
   
   As a young person told me recently they listen to the music but they don't listen to the lyrics but honestly when they start singing the song then they know the lyrics they still always know the meaning of the song and that's what they should know.

   I dont ship them. In fact i've never liked them together it was done by managemnet and if you don't know who i'm talking about this song is about Taylor Swift but it's not a love song. It is a breakup song just like louis said. 'If you're looking for someone to write your breakup songs about' and plus they even confirmed that is was about Taylor.

   This song is saying that even if he's not the one she'll 'take home to Mother' he'll still be a good guy to her and do whatever she wants. He's saying that if she likes to do all of the things he mentions in the song, he'll be perfect for her, even if a relationship never forms out of it.
