i've actually heard this song somewhere during my developmental years and i love hearing it but i don't know the title and the band who happen to sang it....... now that i am in my adulthood i accidentally seen it in my feed at the social media and and so i search for it's title so i browse to look about the comments below and found out that like what i do many other guys are asking about the title.... and their someone replied to give the title and the band... since then i search the lyrics and its interpretation and implication in daily lives why the song was composed as such......so i searched for the meaning and its interpretation then .... i've read comments online shared by anonymous individuals who gave their understanding about the meaning of the song.... i felt sad that i found myself related how the guys being described in the song lived their life.....it sad somehow..and i feel this way

It's about a girl who does not think that she is beautiful because she doesn't know it yet but the guy tells her that she is beautiful like when Liam says "You're insecure don't know what for you're turning heads when you walk through the door" and that the guy is saying that she is insecure and that she is turning her head when she walks through the door and then Liam says "Don't need make-up to cover up being the way that you are is enough" and he is also saying that she doesn't need make-up to cover her identity and that the way she is enough.

I think the song had some instruments like drum and some other instruments and the song come from one direction. But it told me the story of my life to be like, but it’s learning to be different other than recording artists. I think the song is really empowering to everyone’s expensive to the music. We’re very pleased by the song into every word into our head but it’s ear worming. It made me happy to get the songs get through.

This song is about them liking a girl because she’s beautiful, and she doesn’t know it. Aka, she’s insecure. This is horrible because they are saying that her not being confident in herself is what makes her pretty. It’s telling young girls that you have to have little self esteem to be liked by a guy. They never tell her to get confident. They never tell her to start believing in herself. They tell her to remain in a state of insecurity so guys can objectify her and tell her that she’s beautiful instead of having her believe she’s perfect for HERSELF. I hate this song and how it’s brainwashed girls into thinking that to be beautiful, you can’t have confidence and to have confidence comes by boys saying you’re beautiful. And did anyone else notice how they only mention physical features like her hair and smile. Never about intelligence, personality, bravery, respectability. It’s just about them glorifying her lack of confidence like that same insecurity can’t lead to greater things like the inability to say no when a guy wants something more than she’s willing to give, eating disorders, self harm (like when Zayn left, really shows you how the “message” of this song got through to the fan base), and overall disgust in the reflection of herself in the mirror. Like us girls need to be told by a boy we are pretty to believe it. That comes internally.

It's a guy singing about that he loves everything about a girl and she doesn't know that she's beautiful but if she could see through his eyes.maybe she would understand that she's wrong and she is beautiful and she just doesn't know her smile and her actions.make him fall for her and how she doesn't know that she's beautiful is the fact that makes her beautiful cause she doesn't act like she's a princess or all that she acts like a normal person and is insecure but that's why she's beautiful in the inside and on the outside

I don't think she's insecure, I think she's modest. And there's no mention of love. Yes, it is counter-productive. This poor girl doesn't want to be loved for her looks, and here this guy is sexualizing her just cause she exists. You should see the comments on other sites about this song. It's really kind of sad.

It is about girls who have insecurities and need to be told more often that they are beautiful inside and out. They sing what every girl wants to here, especially people going through hard times and insecurity. Other songs that have a similar topic by One Direction are 'Little Things' and 'Diana"

You're insecure, don't know what for," is kinda saying that he's not sure why she is insecure because she really is beautiful. The guys singing it are just about WHAT MAKES HER BEAUTIFUL!
