One Direction: Stockholm Syndrome Meaning
Stockholm Syndrome Lyrics
Who's this whisper telling me that I'm never gonna get away
I know they'll be coming to find me soon
But I fear I'm getting used to being held by you
Baby look what you've done to...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think this song is about chicken nuggets. You hold them hostage in a box. I have never heard the song but I assure you I am smart this is what the song is about. It is about how the chicken nuggets sit happily in the box then you betray them and eat them. It really is quite sad.

#2 top rated interpretation:Stockholm Syndrome i n itself means felling sympathy or affection towards you kidnapper in a hostage situation. However i think in this instance it is about them in the band and how they feel trapped and can't get out but at the same time they love being in the band and the idea of it.

#3 top rated interpretation:The meaning behind the song is that the person fell in love with someone they expected not to. Stockholm Syndrome is used as a metaphor. It’s an amazing song.

Idk but I feel like this song is abt how u love someone so much that they’re the only one u see. They can be so bad for u but it’s hard to leave them and all u can do is still love them. It’s like they trapped u with their love. They hurt u so much but u won’t stop running back to them. And it’s like how can I ever leave u if they keep holding u that way you know. I’m blinded to ur love

I think that this song is about one of the boys falling for a girl that they cannot have. Yet they are in a relationship with them (she is cheating kinda) they know it is wrong and want to stop yet, Stockholm Syndrome. They should not be in love yet they are and the want to escape but they can’t because they love them. It is a confusing concept.
-
The title has a metaphorical meaning. This song is about falling in love with someone you shouldn't have been (just like the hostage should not fall in love with the captor).

Stockholm syndrome is more of a Zarry song. The Zarry whispers ahh. 'whos the man that's holding your hand and talking about your eyes' I've never really seen louis talk about Harry's eyes. It's always Zayn who does that. Idk if you've noticed but Zayn and Harry are the only ones who can tell what they like in each other, be it physical appearance or personality. The Stockholm syndrome actually means Falling in love with someone unintentionally, and not getting enough of them. More like a sex addict. If zarry's real, it was definitely unintentional. I've always seen Zayn open and flirty with harry, which he has never done with the other boys. I saw someone on instagram who debunked the complete song, they compared it with the book and that was real hardwork.

i think they are mostly talking about being under control.they are saying the management(which controls them)that it seems that they will never go away this way .they say fans might find out it soon but the hostage (which is mnagement) wont let them go
-
I think its about how modest was holding them hostage. Harry and louis love eachother and want to be free but they can't. Theyve gotten used to keeping it all in and not telling people.
-
I think yes technically they're are talking about the actual mental disorder stickholm syndrome, but I also think it has a double meaning. Maybe Louis and Harry feel like their is no chance i fighting anymore to be free so they've accepted the fact thath they are never getting away from it. Or I don't know maybe they just wanted to try their hand at writing fanfiction.

HARRY WROTE IT AND IT MEANS HE WAS GETTING TIED DOWN BY LOUIS. A COMPLEMENTARY SONG OF NO CONTROL. thank u.
-
They really liked Beauty and the Beast so they dun did write a song about it.
-
its about them kidnapping me and doing cool stuff
-
Its about how he had gotten kidnapped and over time he has gotten used to being held hostage like in the first few lines "who's that shadow holding me hostage I've been here for days" saying that he has been there for more than a day "who's this whisper telling me that I'm never gonna get away" saying that the kidnapper is telling him to lose all hope and forget all about that no one will come and rescue him "I know they'll be coming to find me soon" so he isn't gonna lose his hope of being found "but I fear I getting used to you beging held by you" he is getting comfortable and starting developmening feeling for her/him "baby look what you've to me baby look what you've now baby I can't leave if you keep holding that way" he wants to leave but can't then in the 2 verse Louis just describes the human and yeah that's what this song means.
Alot of people think its a love song but do they even care about reading in between the lines I mean one direction took sad and heartbreaking words and turned them into lyrics that people would think ots a love song but its not. -
I looked up Stockholm Syndrome and it said to have feeling's or affection for someone who has kidnapped you or is holding you hostage.I think the interpretation of this song is how you are kidnapped and the person who is holding you hostage is someone who you fell in love with.Honestly this a the best song I have ever heard in my life NAD best song I have ever listened too.
-
It means you got stolen by a wolf and taken to its red hood.
-
I think it's about a boy that's falling head over heels but she just keeps pushing him back and she is hurting him but the more she hurts him the more he falls.
