One Direction: Temporary Fix Meaning
Song Released: 2015
Temporary Fix Lyrics
You look like the kind of girl who's tired of speaking
Standing with somebody but he doesn't know what you like
You caught my attention, you were looking at me first
All that I can see's...

#1 top rated interpretation:This song is about a girl catching his attention, and he thinks he would be better for her than the guy she's with who "doesn't know what (she) likes". He wants to be with her, but in a casual way ("we can call this what you like"). He says that he can be her "temporary fix" and that "if you're not hooked on anything right now I can be your vice," referencing drugs, essentially saying that he could give her a rush and make her feel good.
He says that he can be there for her when she's lonely, and also when she just wants a good time, so he basically just wants to be there to make her feel good whenever she wants him, tying back to the drug theme. -

#2 top rated interpretation:To me this song is about sex. It clearly says "The night is on your lips and I feel like I'm locked in
There's a million eyes, I don't care if they're watching
Your body is saying everything, I don't have to read your mind
Feel you on my neck while I'm calling a taxi
Climbing over me while I climb in the backseat
Now we're taking off, now we're taking it off tonight"
Explain that please. -

#3 top rated interpretation:I can't even think what Temporary Fix is about. I just like the song. like... mmm.... ITS A ONE DIRECTION SONG. they're just songs. I don't have to know the meaning. :) hahaha ignore this.

Definitely a sex song. With the line "All that I can see's you waking up in my t-shirt" implies that they're in the same bed. Another line, "You can own me and we'll call this what you like.
Let me be your good night" implies the boy basically giving the girl control of him. "Let me be your good night" suggests the boy trying to make the girl feel good.
"We can roll in the darkness,
Let me touch you where your heart is" is pretty suggestive as well.
Overall, it's not what I'd call an "innocent" song. But I love it anyway -
it about sex because it says "You can call me
When you're lonely When you can't sleep I'll be your temporary fix You control me Even if it's just tonight" or "You can call me When you feel like I'm your good time I'll be your temporary fix You can own me and we'll call this what you like Let me be your good night"

Its clearly about sex and/ or friends with benefits. The one Person isnt over about a break up and the other is the temporary fix with sex

I don’t know what to think of this song it’s about Sex that’s for sure and I just figured out that Niall Horan wrote it

I feel this song so bad :"") "you can call me when you feel like am your good times, ill be your temporary fix-let me be your goodnight :))" so, the song told that- the boys did it purposely and they want it to make the girl felt better- and some boys that I found feelin better about that, if they became temporary fix haha bcs they think rationally - if they could get the girl- its okay- because they got a benefit from the girl :))
Hahahaha
Different from the girl thoughts, when they become a temporary fix- they use their feeling and hoping more than temporary fix, even thats little bit impossible :")) thats me hahah btch am so laughing rn
