OneRepublic: Mercy Meaning
Song Released: 2008
Mercy Lyrics
How did you find me?
Where did you read my story?
Pulled from the papers
Desperate and hardened
seeking a momentary fix
All I wanted to say
All I wanted to do
Has fallen apart now
All I wanted to feel
I wanted to love
Its all my...

I don't believe in religion, with that said this song is defiantly religious. From a non religious point of view the song is basically about pain and motion to go in. The "angel of mercy" is figurative. In a nut shell this song is basically about moving on and getting through a hard time. Remember people god is figurative two, has anybody really met him and told the story, no. You are your own angel of mercy, you have the strength to get through your hardships. I hope people will stop using religion to gain upper hands. Believe in yourself and you will see how much better life is

Well... As someone said before, I think this song's about someone who's recovering due to someone who loves that person (the singer). Let's supose the singer is a guy and 'someone' is a girl. So, she came to his life just like an angel, she gave him the courage to keep going, when all he wanted was end it all. He thought he'd lost everything he had, and she showed him he was wrong. She found him when he was drifting, and she rescued him. She gave a new sense to his life.
