Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off Lyrics
And all you think about in bed?
When the lights are dim and your hands are shaking as you're sliding off your dress
Think of what you did
And how I hope to God he was worth it
When the lights are dim and...

My interpretation of this song is about a love scene on a movie shoot in my the actor and the actress really fells the sex sconce and they are getting into hotter and horny feeling that they almost forget that it is just only a shooting..
Just take the lyrics: So I guess we're back to us, oh cameraman, swing the focus
In case I lost my train of thought, where was it that we last left off?
(Let's pick up, pick up) -
Well I agree with the main idea of them going out and the girl banging some guy, but I differ from the top rated one and I think they were still going out when she did it, and that's why its was he worth it!
For that guy that asked about the fish bowl thing thing on the video clip I think it was just because they were trying to get the point across that he didn't wanna live anymore and then the girl that loved him who banged the other guy was like well I do love you and I'm not living without you! That's why she tips out her own water! -
I have listened to this song many times and my interpretation is that a girl gets with the character that is singing the song. She can't stop thinking about this lover (is still me who makes you sweat, am I who you think about in bed). Unfortunately he is using her and only cares for himself (I hope you didn't expect that you'd get all of the attention, Now let's not get selfish, Did you really think I’d let you kill this chorus?). To make matters worse she gets pregnant- stomach acid finds a new way to make you get sick = morning sickness. So this poor girl cannot get away because this man was the perfect lover (I've got more wit, a better kiss, a hotter touch, a better fuck, Than any boy you'll ever meet, sweetie you had me) and she cannot move on in life ( No, no, no you know it will always just be, me).

Okay this is just a guess at the music video but I think that obviously the water in the fish tank represents their life. Empty fish tank = your dead. Then when the boy dies (probably suicide since his girlfriend cheated on him) the girl dumps out her water to kill herself and be in the ocean with him forever. Kind of a Romeo & Juliet thing. The only thing wrong with my idea is that she's still alive in the end so...
What do you think? Am I totally wrong?

I think it is about a girl who already has a boyfriend but she also has a secret lover, who is more passionate than is boyfriend. With this lover she has better sex, better kisses.
But I also think that the people of the song are teenagers. Like a teen love, but with cheating and sex, etc where nobody thinks on what she/he is doing, cause, you know, they are teenagers :) -
It might be about Brendon and Audrey Kitching. She cheated on him, you know.
-
It's about a girl who cheats on her boyfriend and has fun lying to him behind his back by doing some dude. They can only breathe in water because its like there heart that they carry around with them(hence the fishbowls) and when there hearts are broken there 'waterhearts' break as well. when the ambulance comes instead of going to a hospital after the 'waterheartattack' they take him to the ocean/beach/sea w.e it is so that he can breathe again, they are repairing his heart. I'm not sure about my interpretation but its funner when you interpret it yourself to see what I means to you, like searching lyrics and listening to the song and breaking it down piece by piece to find out what it means to you. :]
cool facts about the video:
brendon urie is one of the ambulance peoples
brendon urie is not the guy whos 'water' broke.
:D not too cool but w.e! -
The title is from the movie 'Closer.' The quote is 'Lying is the most fun a girl can have without taking her clothes off, but it's better if you do'
:) -
Its all in the title...analyze it.you'll get it somehow.

There are two main themes in this song. First we have the whole betrayal aspect. However I believe that's secondary. As simple and concrete as it sounds the main theme in this song is sex. Reveling in the nostalgia of sex, to be more precise. The relationship between the narrator and the guy wasn't based off love, just sex. I think that's why Ryan referred to "testosterone" boys, to show how primitive the relationship was.
-
Pretty simple: This is part of the trilogy that also includes I Write Sins Tragedies and But It's Better If You Do . It's about the bride who cheated on her groom and it's the groom saying that he hopes that little one night stand with the other man was worth it because he will never be able to forgive her and telling she'll never find anyone as good as him. The chorus says he hopes that the teens listening will learn from the song and not let their lover do that to them, to hold them close because he really loved this girl and under the bitterness he's really just sad that he lost her to some random guy. Oh and testocerone is the male sex hormone and Harlequin was a mime, a mute, so in this song I'm pretty sure it's supposed to mean shy not clown-like.

I think it's about two teenagers apparently in love. and they...lose it together...so anyway they break up and every time the girl is with another guy she remembers something that maybe he said? (you know it will always be me) which can also mean that shell always remember that he was her first. maybe she's with a guy in a car? (exchanging heat in the passangers seat...?)
however, the music video has a different take. Two adults are in love and he was thrown off a building. She finds him in the road and she kills herself. They have to be in water to survive so the paramedics come and throw them in the ocean where theyll be together forever. Theyre kinda bad at music vidoes they don't really pertain to the songs... -
This is the reason that music is as fun as it is, because it's so diverse that you can like zeppelin or rage for their radical guitar work and you can still like p!atd for their ridiculously catchy vocals.
i understand that not everyone can appreciate both chimaera and the postal service at the same time like me, but I think that accepting other peoples tastes is crucial.
except hawthorne heights. They suck. -
I think everyone here has done a good job with the meaning of this song. Now, to the person just being generally mean. Look, you need to get a life, or a hobby, or something. There are bands that I don't like, but I don't go looking for discussions on them to go and diss them. I listen to Rage Against the Machine, Van Halen, Metallica, and I also listen to "sell-out" bands like Fall Out Boy and Green Day. Just because you don't like a band doesn't mean you have the right to go and piss off the people who do like that band.
