Paramore: Ain't It Fun Meaning
Song Released: 2014
Ain't It Fun Lyrics
Letting you down easy, but just give it time
If it don't hurt now then just wait, just wait a while
You're not the big fish in the pond no more
You are what they're feeding on
So what are you gonna do
When the world don't orbit...

#1 top rated interpretation:Great, fun song to sing along to. It's about someone being handed everything in life. Someone who is always used to getting what they want. Now their experiencing real life and that you must actually work for what you want.

#2 top rated interpretation:I think it's about becoming an adult and living on your own and having freedom in the real world.

It isn't really ironic for me because i do understand the lyrics that is really is fun living all alone especially when you don't get along with your family its just best that to cut them off from your life (this is just my opinion that i'll do) i don't care if i ended up poor or homeless i'd rather die instead of going back to them

Most people are saying that this is about how great it is to be on your own in the world, but feel like this is kind of an ironic take, kind of sarcastically making fun of the naive opinion that, after living like “the world revolves around you” and regularly dealing with problems by “crying to your mama,” that shifting to being “all alone” will be an easy change and that independence is a bowl of cherries. However, it simultaneously celebrates the freedom it offers. It feels vaguely satirical; “Aren’t you happy that your life is finally hard!?! This is what you wanted, right!?!” But there is also the genuine declaration that independence is a good thing, even if it isn’t always “fun.”

I really love this song and this is one of my favorites. For me, this song is telling that no matter how hard the reality in life is, there will always be good behind all of it. Most people chose to blind themselves from their illusions beacuse they don't want to get hurt from truths.I mean no matter how hard you try to escape yourself from reality, at the end of the day, you will realize that it's important to face it.

I think to make the transition to be realism to make things to ideal but they have transitions to the school and music who I can make them to words and what they say.
-
There's all kinds of takes on this theme. Some count losing their innocence as a gain in enlightenment and a rite of passage. Others take the view that gaining wisdom for how the world works makes one less happy than they were before.
-
This song is talking about how the world is becoming more and more evil and how (attempting to) surviving in this world is sarcastically "fun". It also worries me when I have to graduate from college...anyway! This song sends out the message that if the world doesn't get any better soon, no one will have fun living here :(
-
Ain't it fun living in the real world? Hell no! Ain't if fun being alone? Heck naw! Ain't it fun when you can't count on no one? I'm calling my momma! I'm calling my momma right now... to tell her that I love her. ;)

It's about a person who is always in the center of everything, getting all the attention, and suddenly their not anymore. All of sudden they are alone in life.
-
First, I love paramore, very first band I listened to, when they had their old stuff, first song I heard was crush crush crush. Ok so, great song, great meaning, to put in a nutshell the real world good luck, but seriously, the person ain't the big fish in the pond no more, he's not the king, so what will he do when he's not the center of attention anymore, ain't it fun liveing in the real world where ppl don't treat you like your the center of all things, where he was from he could do what he wanted, and not worry about trouble bc he was in his own little world, isn't it fun being on your own, ain't it fun when you can't count on anyone, you can't go to your parents and complain about the real world, it ain't gonna change anything,
-
I think it means it is fun to live alone.
-
I personally think she's singing about a guy who thinks he's fabulous and has always been treated that way. She's kind of saying welcome to the real world get over yourself.
