Paramore: Crushcrushcrush Meaning
Song Released: 2007
Crushcrushcrush Lyrics
Yeah, I got a lot to say
I noticed your eyes are always glued to me
Keeping them here
And it makes no sense at all
They taped over your mouth
Scribbled out the truth with their lies
Your little spies
They taped...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think it's about an unpopular girl (who would take place of Hayley singing) liking a popular guy. They want to be together, but the restrictions of the school 'law', so to speak, is keeping them from being more than friends, if they could be friends at all. When they start to hang out, a person from the popular group starts to tell the popular guy nasty and untrue rumours about the unpopular girl, the unpopular girl not knowing. When the guy doesn't hang out with her, she finds out why... and then she tries to tell him that the rumours about her weren't true at all.

#3 top rated interpretation:The song is about a person who has a crush on someone and wants them to get to know each other, what better way than a quiet evening alone, but they never have the guts to ask the person they have a crush on if they want to get together (that never happens I must be dreaming again)

Is it any way l can find the original song writer to speak out the real meaning behind this song- Crush Crush Crush ?
Thanks -

i think its about some one who loves this person who everyone lies about and it makes her own beliefs confusing and she doesn't know what to believe which makes her still love this person, but she doesn't want to love them.

I think it's about two people and one clearly likes the other but the other is on the fence. "I've got a lot to say to you" She wants to talk to him about what's going on so she can figure it out. "eyes are always glued to me" She knows he likes her "They taped over your mouth scribbled out the truth with their lies" She's hearing stories about how all the girls like him and it's showing her he's really a player. Crushcrushcrush - He likes her, she kinda likes him, everyone likes him. "Nothing compares to a quiet evening alone" Life was better without all the drama. "Let's be more than this" She wants him but she doesn't want all the girls to want him. "You wanna play it like a game" Once he knows she likes him he flirts back with the other girls and goes back to his original ways. "Let's play" - Two can play at the game. "Let's be more than this" - She wants them to get past playing each other and get together.

I think this song is about a girl who falls in love with a boy who is older than her and out of her leauge but he loves her back and she can't figure out why he's mad about her - "I've noticed your eyes are always glued to me, keeping them here and it makes no sense at all."

Well, Paramore said in an interview (which is in an magazine I forogt the name of) that it is the opposite song of Decoy.
CrushCrushCrush is about "her" being in love with someone, who doesn't really love her, just play with her. But she doesn't care, she plays his game too ("if you wanna play it like a game, well come on, come on let´s play"), cause "she rather waste her life pretending, than have to forget him for one whole minute" -
I think this song is about liking someone who is taken but loves you instead and his significant other is covering what he really wants to say and make it sound like he wants his gf and not the other girl. Its telling the guy you like him and its obviuos he likes you but is hiding it. And she wants to be more than friends

I think that the song was very awesome cause this song really learns me that being with a person rather they are popular or not they should show you that the guy will love you no matter what and having a crush with someone can be a cool thing but just getting to knowing the person will show the guy that you are a really great person to him so just take it slow and just live your life!

I really relate to this song , to tell the truth I am a extremely unpopular girl that has a crush on a guy that's popular... and every time I listen to that song I somehow imagine that I know him and the first time I saw him I looked 4 this song coz it's how I felt/feel when I see him.

I think it's about someone who is in love with someone
and then they start seeing a different side to that person that they don't like.
so they say that "they scribbled out the truth with their lies, you little spies"
but really the speaker just doesn't like what is being said and
would like to keep the image of the other person the same.
<3
i tried.

Well I think the first guy is right about the first part but the
They taped over your mouth
Scribbled out the truth with their lies
You little spies
They taped over your mouth
Scribbled out the truth with their lies
You little spies
^this is about the other person denying it
^i think this is about other people spreading rummors, and keeping the two from being together -
I think the song is about a person having a crush on the other person like the 1st person says and the other person is just all freaked out and denying it.
