Paramore: Looking Up Meaning
Looking Up Lyrics
I thought I'd never see the day when you smile at me.
We always pull through
oh when we try,
I'm always wrong but
you're never right.
You're never right!

I think this song is about multiple things. The first line"things are looking up oh finally,I thought I'd never see the day when you'd smile at me" is about Hayley And Josh's relationship because they recently broke up before. The ready of the song is about paramore's success and how hard the tried to earn it. The chorus"honestly can you believe we crossed te world while it's asleep,Its not a dream anymore no it's not a dream anymore it's worth fighting for" refers to traveling across the world(obviously) and them trying so hard to get where the are now.

Ok so Hayley and Josh were dating and when they broke up the band nearly followed suit. The song is about how they worked so hard to get to where the are now and were taking it for granted. They almost broke up and they knew that if they had, then they would not have been able to get back to where they are now. They know there's plenty of bands in the world but it would have been a shame to see such great talent go to waste. But now they are getting along again and the band is back in motion doing what they would have died for a couple years ago.

It's about something that she wanted really bad, maybe someone that she wanted. And now she has him.
"I thought I'd never see the day when you'd smile at me."
"It's not a dream anymore." -
I've been thinking about these lyrics lately and I sure that they are talking about the band almost breaking up.
Things are looking up, oh finally!
I thought I'd never see the day when you smile at me.
We always pull through
oh when we try,
I'm always wrong but you're never right.
You're never right!
(meaning that through all the tough things that Paramore has been through, things are looking up for them and they could just talk to each other again and that they always try)
Honestly, can you believe we crossed the world while it's asleep?
I'd never trade it in, because I've always wanted this!
It's not a dream anymore! Ohhh..
It's not a dream anymore! It’s worth fighting for.
(They're saying that 'ok, this is real, now I want to keep it' )
Could have given up so easily
I was a few cheap shots away from the end of me
Taken for granted, almost everything that I would have died for
Just yesterday,
Just yeterday
(Now its saying that they could have broken up easily, and that they almost did)
Honestly, can you believe we crossed the world while it's asleep?
I'd never trade it in, because I've always wanted this!
It's not a dream anymore! Ohhh..
It's not a dream anymore! It’s worth fighting for.
(again what I said before)
God knows the world doesn’t need another band, (whoo-oa, whooo-oa!)
But what a waste it would’ve been! (whoo-oa, whooo-oa!)
I can't believe we almost hung it up (whoo-oa, whooo-oa!)
We're just getting started (whoo-oa, whooo-oa!)
(If they broke up, the world wouldn't want them again, and it would be stupid. They almost broke up, but they're back and just getting started)
Honestly, can you believe we crossed the world while it's asleep?
I'd never trade it in, because I've always wanted this!
It's not a dream anymore! Ohhh..
It's not a dream anymore! It’s worth fighting for.
(same as I said before)
I can't believe we almost hung it up (whoo-oa, whooo-oa!)
We're just getting started (whoo-oa, whooo-oa!)
I can't believe we almost hung it up (whoo-oa, whooo-oa!)
We're just getting started
We're just getting started.
(same as before)
