My Heart Lyrics

I am finding out that maybe I was wrong
That I've fallen down and I can't do this alone

Stay with me, this is what I need, please?

Sing us a song and we'll sing it back to you
We could sing our own but what would it be without you?

I...

I noticed, there are a lot of people who think this is a love song. So i´ll tell you, it ain´t^^. This is a worship song.
Everyone who knows Paramore, knows how much their belief in God means to them, you can tell by the Miracle Outro (watch the one in the "islington academy", it is the best).

So "My Heart" is that God means everything to them, nothing would be anything without God (I don't wanna say him/her^^).("We could sing our own, but what would it be without you, oh")
And they don´t want their belief to fade away, that god stills with them. (Screams at the end by Josh: Please don´t go now, please don´t fade away")

It's definitely a worship song. When they played it, for what I believe was the final time with the full band in 2009. Josh screams WE WORSHIP YOU GOD! BURY MY SOUL! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! BE MY JUDGE! BE MINE!

it was like someone who turned away from God but then came back. And now that one is ready to give everything to God.

--but yeah. there are some scream parts haha. it made it appear like it was something bad or whatever. let's just ask them haha

Though this may be taken as a worship song, it also can be looked at as a love song. Either way, the meaning of this song is plain out love. Unconditional, Undying, Lifelong love. And a heart that belongs to another :)

Some video from this song, hayley says before this started that this song is for them. I think that is about paramore fans.

I am finding out that maybe I was wrong
That I've fallen down and I can't do this alone
Stay with me, this is what I need, please?
[the band was alone, and they need their fans]

Sing us a song and we'll sing it back to you
We could sing our own but what would it be without you?
[well, they could play any songs, but what would it be without their fans]

I am nothing now and it's been so long
Since I've heard the sound, the sound of my only hope
This time I will be listening
Sing us a song and we'll sing it back to you
We could sing our own but what would it be without you?
[the sound of my only hope it can be related to the fans too.]

This heart, it beats, beats for only you
This heart, it beats, beats for only you...Oooh!
This heart, it beats, beats for only you, my heart is yours
This heart, it beats, beats for only you, my heart is yours
(My heart, it beats for you)
[this could mean they love their fans.]

so, I think that this song just show how their fans means a lot for them and how they "sing back"
