Phil Collins: Look Through My Eyes Meaning
Song Released: 2003
Look Through My Eyes Lyrics
-
Look through my eyes can also mean having empathy;the ability to understand how a person must be feeling. To do that, you need understand how your actions have consequences not just for yourself but for those around you. For example, get in a car and drive drunk;that's a 5,000lb guided weapon that you kill, not just yourself, but other innocent bystanders.

this song is SO uplifting to me! it means that you need to get through the terrible things from your past and move on. "You'll see, trust me, i'll be there watching over you" to some (who could be catholic or christian) this means that God/Jesus is watching over us, and we can trust him because he forgive's everyone who believes.
"There's a better place somewhere out there. ooh, just take a look through my eyes...everything changes, you'll be amazed what you'll find! if you look through my eyes" These lyrics mean that (if yur a Christian, like me) God/Jesus can help us redeem ourselves after we have sinned so much, and that he can change the way we see the world. (like me, i find heaven to be a wonderful place)
