Meds Lyrics

I was alone, falling free,
trying my best not to forget,
what happened to us, what happened to me,
what happened as i let it slip.

I was confused by the powers that be,
forgetting names and faces,
Passers by, were looking at me,
as if...

I believe the song is based about the impact on the people around the "person forgetting there meds". Having depression, schizophrenia, PTSD etc is one thing but being the person thats there to take the beatings and blows from someone you love it can be hard to remember why you do it sometimes

I just heard it as a song about someone who's got some kind of mental health problem and they're supposed to take medication. It's a bit skewy but seems to cover general confusion and suicidal feelings, possibly due to the imbalance from forgetting medication but also the paranoid feeling that people are forever guessing if he's taken it. (This is obviously post-mental-breakdown, as opposed to someone who's always been this way.)

When they made the video for this, since none of the band (as far as is apparent) has this actual scenario they had to liken the video to the effects of taking acid because of course they don't know totally what this situation is like.

    Brilliant song.

I think it's about someone being in a therapy but having someone who stands beside him and keeps watching that he always takes his medicines ... Well, I think it's generally about a person fighting against an illness or something ;)
I'd try to explain more but I should go and learn more vocabulary ... x)
