The whole fantasy of being the rock star and being the happily married guy with the kid and everything's great and everything's groovy was gone. I was living in the biggest house I've ever owned and I was the most miserable I've ever been. I was making a commitment to myself with this song. Struggling to accept what was and trying to stay open to what could be."
