Sara Bareilles: Uncharted Meaning
Uncharted Lyrics
No words, My tears won't make any room for more,
And it don't hurt, like anything I've ever felt before, this is
No broken heart,
No familiar scars,
This territory goes uncharted...
Just me, in a room sunk down in a house in...
-
This song is about how when your trapped, alone, and afraid you have to find a way out. You are trapped in your own mind and can’t find a way out. No matter how hard you tray you can’t fix things.
-
I took it as a mother or someone trapped in a house some sorts who doesn't want to live the life they're living at the moment. They don't want the small family life, they want to go somewhere uncharted and different.
-
"Just me,
In a room sunk down in a house in a town, and I don't breathe, no I never meant to let it get away from me now, I've got too much to hold. Everybody has to get their hands on gold, and I want
Uncharted."
This piece i can relate to most. What Sara is trying to express is the path everyone else is going just doesn't seem to be working for her. She wants something completely different, which is uncharted. She doesn't have a plan but getting started is the.. start!
Sara has been a huge inspiration and her song interpretations are hard to translate, but giving some thought you can somehow relate to it, which is why i love her music. -
i think this song is about how she doesnt really have any feelings about this particular action . i know these lyrics word by word and this is the biggest interpretation to me.
-
i saw in an interview w/ s.b. that it's about her not knowing what to write a song about
-
I think it's about following your heart, and taking the path less travelled even if it doesn't make sense to others. Doing something out of the ordinary can be really scary, because there's no guarantee that you're making the right decission. Sometimes you just have to cross your fingers, and jump head first into the unknown.
"Won't just hang around. Let you show me where to go. I'm already out of foolproof ideas...I won't go as a passenger no. Waiting for the road to be laid."
