Sarah McLachlan: Angel Meaning
Song Released: 1998
Angel Lyrics
For the break that will make it ok
There's always some reason to feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction oh beautiful release
Memories seep from...

I think from the lyrics it is obvious that it is talking about addiction. I don't think it matters what the addiction is TO, just that it is about wanting to let go and 'escape'
-
This song may be soothing but it is actually about drug addiction.
-
I think this song is very soothing. It's about being insecure and having a bad time and finally being calm when in the presence of angels ( I think is meant to represent hope and faith) And being able able to escape all of the evil in the world by just having faith and hope. Its comforting and very pretty."may you find some comfort here"
