   I believe it's about the first real relationship with he thought could last forever. This girl gave him hope that he could have that kind of forever relationship, so he doesn't want to let that hope go along with the girl. By the end of the song he realizes that even though his first real relationship is ending he doesn't have to let go of that hope of being with someone for the long haul.

   Shawn is talking about a girl. It is his first real relationship and he's explaining that he has to let go, but it was good while it lasted. He was saying they were just 'Memories'. And aww its so sad like why Shawn? You good?

   I think this song is about how someone can fall and love, be happy, make the best memories. But then he decided that it cant be forever..with that specific person anyways. So he has to let her go, it won't be easy, sure. But either way, he has to let her go. They had some great memories, it was great while it lasted. But she gave him hope that he can find the perfect person for him.

   I think it can mean many things, not just a relationship. It could mean friends,family, etc. I think it can be used forany loved ones who you may have lost, or parted with.

   When I listen to this song it always reminds me as if your a newlywed and you both are still in the honeymoon stage of your marriage. And when you hear your significant others footsteps and they try to act so sly when they wake up but deep down you know your not... Anyway he is now realized that he was blessed be God, to now be able hear those footsteps for the rest of his life every morning and it almost sounds like a medley but the type you want to hear on repeat and you actually want to have playing in head on repeat.

   I believe that it's just about his old life and the things he lost with the price of his fame. He misses it but appreciates the memories he got form it. So he wrote it in stone and sings it to the world.

    If you listen to the song closely he says “i cant ever let you go Lets write our story and lets sing our song lets hang our picrures in the wall all these precious moments we carved in stone are only memories after all.” i dont know fully of this is what its about but im just making the assumption that the memories that they carved in stone was a grave stone ans shes dead.

    I think it's about an old relationship for me I put this song in a video college about my old life my old relationship my family I never see before it all feel apart as it was falling about so it must be and his old life.
