Sia: Helium Meaning
Song Released: 2017
Helium Lyrics
I cry out but nothing comes now
I'm giving my all
And I know peace will come
I never wanted to need someone
Yeah, I wanted to play tough
Thought I could do all just on my own
But even...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think this song is about a girl who had been heartbroken and decided not to have a man in her life anymore. But as time went she met a man different than all the men she dated before, who lift her up when she was and was always there for her when she needed someone.

#2 top rated interpretation:Probably not for the writer but for me this song means that Jesus lift me up like helium. When I'm filled with his great love I literally feel like I float like I'm full of hapiness. I'm found. I'm taken care of and not by a human but by a true superhero that gave up his life so that I could have eternal life. And before I let him in I felt exactly like she described I kept falling down, I thought I was though and that I could do this on my own. But since he's in my life I'm stronger, I'm fearless, I feel loved in an indescribable way that lift me up like helium.

#3 top rated interpretation:I think it's about a girl who never believed in love until she met someone special.
Someone who doesn't force her to change yet has changed her. And she likes the change too -
To me, I heard it as a woman who had been hurt before in past relationships and thought forget it. I’ll get by in my own. Do everything myself. Be “superwoman”.
And then she found a guy who lifted her, loved her, made her realise that she didn’t need to be strong and do everything herself. He was there to help her through it all - to be her “superman”. -
This indicates Anastasia's love for Christian. She never felt so strongly about someone as she did for Christian. His love lifted her up just like helium does. Chritian's love changed her life forever in the good way. This song belongs to the blockbuster movie 'Fifty shades franchise'.

I think somewhat different ..like acc. To me the guy she loves was supportive .so earlier she used to face so many hurdles, she go through heartbreaks, but now she is numb to all such feelings like helium is( i.e unreactive)...due to the love by this man..
-
I think it's about a girl who never depended on anyone she used to love doing everything solo and didn't want to get into a relationship until she found a guy who made her realise that she needs him in her life and this guy make her feel like she can do more and this guy is her inspiration

This song is trying to show how love can be so encouraging. It is not gender specific . The question that should be asked is why she used helium as a simile.
-
I think that this song is about a girl who thought she could easily get by on her own without a man to love her and be there for her to fall back on. She then finds that she can no longer get through her troubles on her own. But she soon finds a man who supports her, loves her and lifts her up when she’s down. She realises that a man was what she needed and expresses her love through this song.
-
I think it is a story about a girl who always pushed away people,"i wanted to play tough" coz she was scared of getting a heartbreak or something but a guy comes and swoops her off her feet and she falls in love with him.he might be hard on her or confusing at times but she needs her and wont let her go,"if you let go and i drift towards the ground..im lucky that you're around".......luv this song lot
-
I think it means that his love lifts her up but then soon after it goes away, just like helium does
-
I think Sia was trying to tell the world that her love with Lucifer will never die.
-
I think it shows how strong his love is for me,that it lifts me up that high...high like helium would go....
-
The girl is only surviving due to the the guys love for her and she loves him back.
-
Your love lifts me up like helium
