Why would you wanna break
A perfectly good heart
Why would you wanna take
Our love and tear it all apart
Now, why would you wanna make
The very first scar
Why would you wanna break
A perfect good heart

Maybe I should've seen the...

I think for my songwriting and too my songwriting process and I’ve been to the being house and accept, I would do my songwriting. I’ve been to that songwriting studio but, I’ve been to the recording those studio hours, but I’ve never told anything about it.

I think this song is about suddenly having your heart broken. Not really knowing why or how you could feel so bad all of a sudden.

i think it's about the first time you get your heart broken by your first boyfriend. since it's the first time, you haven't experienced it before, and you feel angry and confused. and you haven't seen it coming and feel like everything's perfect when...BAM! it happens when you didn't do anything wrong. i love this song!!!

It is about Taylor being in a first relationship with someone and he totals rips her heart out, so she questions what she did that influenced him to hurt her so.

I think this song really is talking about, not only the first heart break she's experienced, but also the fact that she couldn't see it coming.
For many people, especially young people, you don't see the harm in a relationship from inside...so when her heart was broken, she found herself shocked that this boy would do something to hurt her.

This song is about your very first heartbreak, when your "perfectly good, healed, heart" gets it's first scar. In the song, it refers to the feeling you have when your heart gets broken. It's a confusing feeling, because it's something you
    ve never expierienced before.

I think this song is about the first time your heart really gets broken... not just a summer fling thing, but the first time you were really falling for a guy and then he broke your heart.
This is a really awesome song but its kinda sad:(

This song is my life right now.
I was in a relationship with a guy for one year, 2 months, and 10 days, but I broke up with him for a lot of reasons, but we got out of it pretty easy but then I met a boy.

This guy asked me out the next day, and we went out for two days. Even though it wasn't very long, oh wow I love him. This was my first time getting hurt, and I wasn't used to it. I was being all depressed && stuff last night, && I came across this song. I fell in love with it instantly, cause it describes exactly what I'm going through...
    Thank you.
