Taylor Swift: Back to December Meaning
Song Released: 2010
Back to December Lyrics
How's life, tell me how's your family
I haven't seen them in a while
You've been good, busier than ever
We small talk, work and the weather
Your guard is up, and I know why
Because the last time you saw...
-
This song is to Taylor Lautner because when she sang Back to December in Michigan she said: "I'd go back in time and change it but I can't... SO THIS IS TO THE BOY FROM MICHIGAN" and Lautner was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Then she mixed it with the song Apologize and you can watch Taylor Lautner "singing" Apologize on youtube.
Also when she explained the song she said: "This is about a person who was incredible to me, just perfect to me in our relationship and I was really careless with him; so this is a song for the words I would say to him that he deserves to hear", at the end she almost cry.
In the official video you can see a man wearing a jacket really similar to the jacket that Lautner always wears.
The song starts at 0:13 and rumors say that they broke up at her birthday: DECEMBER 13TH 2009. -
the first verse is about the guy seeing you again and you're practically apologizing for what you did. the chorus is about missing him and wishing you hadn't done what you did. the second verse is remembering your past with him and thinking about why you could've done something like that. the bridge is saying your wishing the two of you would be together again.

this song is soo cute I do think that this song is about lautner, she broke up with himm and now regrets it after realizing how much she really loved him. I guess the message she wants to give is dont do something that will make u regret later especially when it has to do with a loved one.
-
This song is rumored to be about Taylor Lautner, as there are clues in the song, such as "tan skin." This song shows the regret that a girl (Taylor Swift) has when her boyfriend, who has been nothing but good to her, break up. This boyfriend now keeps his guard up while the girl tries to get him back to no avail. This girl says she knows it's probably a long shot but she wants another chance. The girl goes back through her relationship with the boy throughout the song, realizing she loves him.
-
It is of course about Taylor Lauther. It says in her song "The Other Side Of The Door" that she has a lot of pride (Lyric: Me and my stupid pride). So she finally swallows it and says sorry for the way she acted on the night of their break up.
-
This song is an apology about how Taylor. S treated Taylor Lautner. She regrets how she acted and wishes she could have the chance to go back and change the way she acted. This I believe is her first song where its an apology.

This is Taylor's version of an apology to Taylor Laughtner, starting as friends she comes to really love him, but she begins to doubt him, when he tells her he loves her Gives her roses) she turns him down (leaves them there to die, now looking back on her mistakes, she sees she should have said she loved him too instead of turning him down
-
In this song, she's speaking about her feelings for Taylor Lautner. when it came to fall she realized she was in love with him. In the winter she starts to have doubts and when he comes and gives his love to her she simply rejects him. She's looking back on it now and regretting what she done. She is talking to him and trying to ask for his forgiveness and also wondering whether they could ever be together again.

This song is an "apology" to a boy she hurt. Because Taylor had been hurt by her past relationships, she guarded her heart carefully and was determined not to get it broken again, so she dumped him before he could really hurt her. This boy, though, porved to be different from her past boyfriends, and really, truly, loved her. After she dumped him, she realized what mistake she made.
The first part of the song is about what it's like after the relationship is over. They don't talk much anymore, make no mention of their past, and she is jsut happy to hear from him. The chorus is about her swallowing her pride and telling him that she's sorry for hurting him, anf if she could go back in time and change it, she would.
The first part of the second verse means that she can't stop thinking about what she did, and that she regrets it. The second part refers to their love story - how they got to know each other during the Summer, and realized that she was crushing in the fall. When the cold came, and they had been dating for a while, fear of being hurt and brokenhearted crept into her mind, so she dumped him. After she did that, though, she realized that he was different from the other guys and really loved her.
The first part of the third verse is telling him how much she missed every little detail about him (tanned hair, sweet smile, etc). The second part is telling him she knew what mistake she made, and is willing to love him right this time, if he would give her another chance. If he doesn't, she understands. -
This song is about breaking up with your boyfriend because you are afraid he was going to hurt you (Dark days when fear crept into my mind.) He loved you though, and HE was the one who got hurt by YOU (you gave me all your love, and all I gave you was goodbye.) After she broke up with him, she realized that all that she had done, and began to feel guilty for hurting him, because she knew exactly how that felt. She wishes she realized all that she had when he was with her, and is giving him a second chance, telling him that "if they loved again, she swears she'd love him right," But she knows that he might have moved on (if the chain is on your door, i'll understand.) This song is an apoligy for hurting him.
