Blank Space Lyrics

Nice to meet you, where you been?
I could show you incredible things
Magic, madness, heaven, sin
Saw you there and I thought
Oh my God, look at that face
You look like my next mistake
Love's a game, wanna play?

New money, suit and tie
I...

It's more like a satire, that she's showing how the media and everyone portrays her. A serial dater, if you will. She's trying to say "hey, yeah, I'm TOTALLY someone who goes around dating everyone I see and breaking up with them for unreasonable reasons and literally murdering them...totally." Everyone gives her a lot of b.s. for dating "so much" when honestly, she's just trying to find someone like everyone else on this planet. So yeah, she's trying to make fun of the people criticizing her, making them look absurd and stupid.

She meets a guy that she obviously likes and wants to bring him places hence "I could show you incredible things". But when she says that she has a list full of ex's, she's inferring that she has dated many guys, then broke up with them. She says "and I'll write your name" hence she is going to break up with him . She also says "I get drunk on jealousy" meaning that he is flirting with another girl or the other way around.

I think it's satirical on the way she is portrayed in the media. "Got a long list of exlovers" is the reference to the media claiming that she has had so many boyfriends in the past, "I've got a blank space baby" is her saying that it's the same story over and over but with different men. The part of the song when she says: "find out what you want, be that girl for a month, wait, the worst is yet to come", it is referencing the perception that many 'haters' hold that she is manipulative and evil and it means that she lures these men in to a relationship with her before revealing her true self leaving her unsuspecting boyfriends asking themselves, "oh my God, who is she?" Because to her "loves a game". Obviously in this scenario she is showing psychopathic tendencies that might make her ex loves"tell you [she's] insane" This song is a dig at her haters and how she is perceived by them which is made ironic due to the fact that in saying pretty much to the world that she's a crazy bitch/psychopath it has furthered her undeniable success. This this theory is made all the more plausible by the fact that she has recently released a song about the 'haters' hating. Obviously this is all just my opinion.

Guys. Taylor herself SPECIFICALLY said it's about how people view her and her love life, nothing else.

In “Blank Space,” this new persona has spotted a bad boy and although she knows he is trouble and that the relationship is doomed, she pursues him. This persona the media created seems to equally enjoy the over-the-top fantasy that comes from the first stages of love and the messy crash when her clingy, jealous, abusive side comes out.

According to me she had a long list of ex lovers who now calls her mad because she used to love them but they considered love to be a game. She had a blank space and seeing him she made up her mind to call him to be her upcoming mistake. And like her every other lovestories this too ended because she saw him texting another girl.

It's about the endless 'drama' in womens' lives when they chase badboys (players). They play the game, and that game is "romance".

This song is about a woman who is an emotional sadist. She has a cluster b personality disorder (narcissist) and she uses men for thrill, money, and the sport of abusing them.

The entire song is about this theme. Whether Taylor realizes it or not, she has accurately captured the competitive and sadistic cycle of "idealize (love bomb), devalue, and discard" that this personality type employs in significant relationships. It is almost like she read the diagnosis for cluster b disorders and wrote a song about it from an abusers perspective...

People with cluster b disorders cannot have heathy relationships. Love is a blood sport for them because they are emotional vampires that use people for supply... they have no empathy and will never change this pattern of behavior.

This song is a religious theme. She's talking about God!! How everyone falls short and most will turn away going down in flames in the end. Heaven and hell. Then she speaks of satans temptation. Showing heaven madness sin. I cant believe no one got this. Its spot on with religion.

The song is actually about Harry Styles , that if he ever wants to date with her again she still has a blank space waiting for him. Taylor still loves Harry but Harry is also too weak to admit it that he stills loves her. Nice song Taylor. Love all her songs

Its means this girl has been heart broken before so now she has gone crazy because of the break up. She has gone so mad and crazy and sad that she starts pretending and killing them .

She is explaining the manipulation that takes place when women get a boyfriend. If you are a man most of us have been on the receiving end of what she describes. generally the crazier the woman the more exciting the relationship. Yes it is a game.

Seriously, no one noticed it on this site? This song is referencing the anime Death Note as well as any symbolic meanings that she planned for it.

Ok… This shouldn't be a surpize. In this song, she's bad-mouthing one of her ex-boyfriends.

I think that it,s about this rich woman who is looking for love but almost all of her relaonships turn out with a not-so-happy ending. Then she meets this guy and at first everything is alright but then she catches him texing anthoer girl and it ends badly.
THE END... or is it. Don't judge me.

I think this song represents me and my dog's relationship. I stabbed him with a churro... His name is Tubby.
