   I think this song is supposed to be about the true meaning of CHRISTmas the birth of a savior who was to come and live the perfect life then die on a cross to save us all from our sins so we can go to heaven. If you listen to the lyrics Taylor is pretty much saying what would happen if there were no Christmas trees or presents any of it. Would you still celebrate the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ? Or would it just be some random day in December that is just blown off, and not really cared about??

   This song means our saviors birth and not about presents. CHRISTmas is more then presents and is all about Christ our savior. This is what Taylor swift is trying to tell us but we still ignore the real true meaning

   This song is about the true meaning of CHRISTmas and what if we got rid of all the superficial stuff like Christmas trees and presents but kept the stuff like nativity sets and wreaths and even CANDYCANES they have more of a meaning than trees.
