Taylor Swift: Forever & Always Meaning
Song Released: 2008
Forever & Always Lyrics
and we caught onto something
I hold onto the night, you looked me in the eye and told me you loved me
Were you just kidding?
cause it seems to me, this thing is breaking...
-
Taylor Swift told Ellen in an Interview that Forever and Always was a last minute addition to the Album and it was dedicated to Joe Jonas. She told Ellen that he had called her and broken up with her and when she looked at her phone she saw that it only took 25 seconds for him to do it.
I believe that this song is a metaphor for people that have been in love with someone and though that that person was in love with them but it turned out to be a lie. I think like most of her songs it a song people can relate to because it has meaning. -
It's about Taylor Swift having a boyfriend (Joe Jonas) who told her that he loved her, and promised to stay by her side forever & always. He didn't stay true to his word, though, and dumped her. This song is about the pain she felt after he broke his promise of "forever & always."

She told @ Ellen it's about Joe. So, get over it. It's all about her relationship with Joe Jonas.
