Taylor Swift: Holy Ground Meaning
Song Released: 2012
Holy Ground Lyrics
while having coffee all alone
and lord it took me away
back to a first glance feeling on New York time
back when you fit my poems like a perfect rhyme
took off faster than a green light, go
yeah you skip...
-
Well.. i dunno what it really can be.. but i would say that taylor looks back at that relationship.. Nd realizes it was a good one.. she says it was "good" in a satirical way.. as the further lines explains.. how they were standing on the "holy ground"
And still didn't look down.. accordingly... she had a good relationship with someone.. it was a "good" one yet they never realizesed it.. and broke off.. -
Took off fast through the green light - definitely they went all the way.
Right there where we stood was holy groud - she's talking about the bed or the room where it first happened.
Spinning like a girl in a brand new dress - the new "woman" she felt.
And for the first time I had something to lose - virginity.
Dance verb - I really think it's refering to the actual sexual act but also the dance. -
I think holy ground is about her relationship with poptarts. When she is with poptarts she feels happy and thus explains holy ground. She also said they fell apart in the usual way. She ate up the poptarts as what most people would do.

This song is about looking back on a relationship (I was reminiscing just the other day) that was fast, probably not too serious, but fun nonetheless.(it was good) she loses the boy, (and i guess we fell apart in the usual way). She feels reluctant to be happy again because she misses the boy (but i don't want to dance if i'm not dancing with you) she dances, (tonight i'm gonna dance) which symbolizes happiness. She gets over it and feels that it made her stronger in a way (for all that we've been through) and realizes that something good came out of it ( it was good) even if it didn't last very long.

No it isn't. This song is about looking back on a relationship that has ending and realizing it was a good relationship that taught her somethings.
