Taylor Swift: I'm Only Me When I'm With You Meaning
Song Released: 2007
I'm Only Me When I'm With You Lyrics
in a field behind your yard
you and I are painting pictures in the sky
sometimes we don't say a thing
just listen to the crickets sing
everything I need is right here by my side
and I know everything about you...

#2 top rated interpretation:This song is one of my favorites. It's about Taylor talking about her best friend and how they know everything about her. And how even though they "drive her crazy half the time" she still knows that they're the one who she can always be herself around.

Out of al Taylor's songs this one is my favorite. It's about how she always feels like she has to be someone she's not, and with this one guy, she can really be herself and it dosen't matter what she does because he knows her inside and out, and she knows that he will always love her. How they tackle life's struggles together and they are comfordable with each other and can just enjoy the time spent together without worrying about being perfect.

Well a friend recommend that I listen to this song cause there is a girl that I like, and she acts like herself when I'm around. I think it is saying that I only act like myself when I'm with you.

The song is about Taylor and her best friend Abigail, and how they know each other so well and can only be themselves when they are with each other. The video has Abigail in there a lot. It can also be about her family, but I doubt they'd be 'in the field behind your yard' if she is talking about close family. However, the song can also be interpreted about a boy, because of the line saying 'just a small town boy and girl', unless it is about a close friend who is a boy. It could easily be explaining how she is only herself when she is with the boy. It all depends on how you want to interpret it. Maybe the best idea is to ask Taylor Swift about who she wrote the song about!

I think this song is about Taylor and Abigail being themselves and just having fun with friends.

It’s obvious that this song is written for the person Taylor Swift is closest to and is most comfortable around, possibly a boyfriend, maybe even a best friend. The song is about how she loves the comfort they share and how she enjoys being herself around that person and not having to pretend she’s anything else other than what she truly is. You can tell she loves this person dearly especially when she says she don’t want to do anything with out the person. You can also tell that they know everything about each other and they trust each other very much.

This song is great. It's about Taylor and Abigail and their other best friends that surround them. Taylor and Abigail even made this video on imovie together!

this song is about the girls bf or ex bf. he drived her crazy half the time, the other half she was only trying to et him know that what she feels is true, se knew eveyrthin about him, its all pretty self-explanatory...

I think it's about Taylor and her best guy friend, who've basically been through everything together, and she's finally starting to fall for him. She's saying that he knows everything about her, and that makes her comfortable. She's saying she's only her when she's with him.
