Taylor Swift: Out of the Woods Meaning
Song Released: 2014
Out of the Woods Lyrics
It all seemed so simple
We were lying on your couch;
I remember
You took a Polaroid of us
Then discovered
The rest of the world was black and white
But we were in screaming color.
And I remember think...
Are we out of...

The meaning of this song shows that when Swift asks, "are we out of the woods yet.... Are we in the clear yet," she is trying to say that through a relationship it's crowded with so many problems, and she wants to know if her and her boyfriend will go back to a smooth relationship. Overall, I ❤ this song!

I think it's not only about Harry Styles, but also about the media interpreting Taylor Swift. The media interprets famous singers and songwriters and people involved in music or television in ways that are untrue. So really, this song is all about her struggles, both with (possibly) Harry Styles, and being trapped in the media's interpretation of her, as sort of a "serial dater". At the beginning, she is trying to find herself, but by the end, she realizes that she can get out of this by facing these challenges in a calm way, kind of ignoring them. The whole "she lost him, but she found herself" thing in the end is about how she might have lost Harry along the way, but eventually, she escaped the slippery slope of the media.

" Be like paper airplanes flying, flying" Taylor's referring to to Harry's paper airplane necklace.

It's about a relationship that's fragile and you don't know when its gonna end. It's like complicated and you're not sure about anything that's going on. It's all confusion.
-
It's about Harry Styles and a skiing accident. In the hospital room and wondering if you're going to be ok.
-
It's about living the single life.
It's also about Harry Styles. c':
