Should've Said No Lyrics
The smiles, the flowers, everything: is gone
Yesterday I found out about you
Even now just looking at you: feels wrong
You say that you'd take it all back, given one chance
It was a moment of...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:This song is about Taylor's boyfriend cheating on her and how she feels about it, and that he should have said no to the other girl and still had Taylor in his mind.

I was at the studio recording that went beautiful Taylor swift wrote it for me she is beautiful and her songs went personal life, like my life.
-
This is a song about a boy who was dating Taylor, and cheated on her, even though he knew in the back of mind that it was wrong and word would probably get out about what he did, and circle back to Taylor, which it did. She knew to let him go, because if she really meant as much to him as he claimed he did, he wouldn't had cheated on her in the first place.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Her boyfriend went off and cheated on her. The word got around and she got ticked, saying that he shouldn't have done it (You should've said no you should've gone home). Then he told people by mistake (You should've thought twice before you let it all go). Now she's asking herself why he did it(I shouldn't be asking myself why) and he's trying to go back to her because she dumped him(You shouldn't be begging for forgiveness at my feet).
