Taylor Swift: Style Meaning
Style Lyrics
You come and pick me up, no headlights
Long drive,
Could end in burning flames or paradise
Fade into view, oh, it's been a while since I have even heard from you (heard from you)
I should just tell you to leave 'cause I
Know...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think STYLE is basically about Taylor being in a relationship which she knew would never work but it felt so right. I'm not going to jump to conclusions, but there are many things that lead the listener to believe this song is about her impossible relationship with Harry Styles.
It's a big giveaway with the airplane necklace (which Harry gave her in some period of their relationship) in the music video for Style on top of the lyrics "You got that long hair slicked back white t-shirt,"
I do really like how Taylor has, instead of shaming or pointing fingers at her ex, talks about their relationship in better light.
So overall, I think Style is about Taylor's view on a relationship that was never going to work but was so enchanting she didn't want it to end. I also think it's not fair that people target Taylor Swift about writing about her exes, because every songwriter really does. It's especially stupid since her songs are so beautiful and well written, like Harry has said he's lucky in a sense that the songs are at least good.
Sorry if this was a lot to read! -

#2 top rated interpretation:Totally about our boy Harry, but it didn't work for Tay because at the time this song is based on, Harry was in a relationship with Louis Tomlinson, so Tay's remembering the old good times, even though she knew it wasn't gonna work out.

Don’t ask me why, but I always thought this song was about a woman. She clearly speaks of a forbidden, secret, or with somone emotionally unavailable, relationship which Taylor enjoys having outside the tabloids. And I think she at that point, played with our minds giving that name to the song (Style) with the title and with the PR that was being built with Harry but since Harry at that time was in another relationship I doubt it was about him. Taylor has always been involved in PR's relationships when she is going to release a song that ends up being successfull and Style is not an exception but, why she has go to for PR if she herself can make the song a success with only her name?
I’ve always thought this song is about Karlie.

Love never goes out of style, that's what I got from it. I suppose it could be about Harry Styles too, *the name of the song is a big clue lol* but it could honestly be a mix of both.
-
this song is definitely about her relationship with harry styles, hence the title of the song, and how she wanted him more than he liked her. the sad truth of it.
-
its about harry of course for all that reasons
but the necklaces were two, there is a photo on the internet that shows it, they were walking and they have similar necklaces, harry never gave him his, it is silly that now he uses it since that symbolized his relationship -
Harry styles... all I have to say

This song is defiantly about Harry Styles. First off, the title. Second off their relashionship was on and off hence the lyrics, "we never go out of style"
The part where it's like:
"I said, 'I hear you were out and about with some other girl.'" This is another when Harry was in Australia or something and he was caught kissing another girl.
In the beginning of the music video, there is a glimpse of a paper plane necklace that Harry gave her. This, like Out of The Woods, is about Harry. -
I think it's about a relationship that just won't die out. Hence 'we never go out of style' despite all the problems they have, they always find their way back to each other.
