Taylor Swift - Tolerate It Meaning

Song Released: 2020
Tolerate It Lyrics
I wake and watch you breathing with your eyes closed
I sit and watch you
I notice everything you do or don't do
You're so much older and wiser, and I
[Chorus]
I wait by the door like I'm just...
-
I think this song is probably about Taylor being in a relationship with someone that she idols, but he doesnt tell her about anything in his life. She does everything including "I wait for you at the door like I'm just a kid, use the best colors for your portrait" and he doesn't tell her a thing, like in the line "I'm begging for footnotes in the story of your life" Then she graduates in the song to telling him that she deserves more than what he's giving her when she says "I know my life should be celebrated, but you tolerate it" and "I break free of these ruins? Took this dagger in me and remove it? Gain the weight of you than lose it. Believe me, I could do it. " she's threatening him and saying,"Treat me the right way or I'll go"
-
I personally think this is about someone that she had a relationship with that had depression, or someone she got disconnected to.
So, she tried to tolerate it.
