   i honestly interpret this as Alex and Rosie's song, if you don't know them they're from a movie called Love, Rosie. The song tells a story of a two best friends who couldn't admit to themselves that they're in love with each other. The part where Taylor narrate "Pauses, then says "you're my best friend" and you knew what it was. He is in love." is what exactly Alex and Rosie's relationship look like. The slow burning intimacy, the unexplained jealousy, the obliviousness, and how literally everyone can tell that they're in love but still denies it. I JUST LOVE THIS SONG AND THE MOVIE YOU CAN'T BLAME ME.

   This song is loosely based on the love between Jack Antonoff and Lena Dunham. Taylor told what the song was about in an interview. Jack was writing the music on a song and he emailed it to Taylor, and Taylor said she knew exactly what to put to it. She is telling Jack, "You are in Love." Lena later said she wants this to be her wedding song.
