Taylor Swift: Your Face Meaning
Your Face Lyrics
Another girl sings about a boy
Just sees his face in every space in every room
And i know that if i turn around you won't be there
If i close my eyes will you be there?
I don't wanna lose your face
And i don't...
-
This song is about losing someone you cherished so much your beginning to question if it was even real and how the memory of his face is the only thing she's has left to hang on to
-
"I know that if I turn around you wont be there, if I close my eyes will you be there? I dont wanna lose your face, I dont wanna wake up one day and not remember what time erased" she is referring to wanting to see his(whoever that may be)face everywhere opposed to girls who just want to forget what he looks like. "I got a picture of you in my bedroom and I hope it never falls. I hope I never lose that feeling I used to get when you call" she is again referring to not wanting to forget his face and not wanting to lose the feeling she has for him. "That girl in the song had it so good I wish I could close my eyes and see you, I wish the sky had your face, and the ocean had your eyes, and sunset had your lips, and I had you" she still really likes him and she feels envous of the girl in the song for being able to see her ex- everywhere she looked and maybe angry for the girl wanting to get rid of it while not knowing how good she has it.
