The Neighbourhood: Reflections Meaning
Reflections Lyrics
Do you know when you're coming back?
'Cause since you've been gone
I've got along but I've been sad
I tried to put it out for you to get
Could've, should've but you never did
Wish you wanted it a little bit
More but...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:this is a really deep song that in my Point of view its about 2 persons that were together but broke up and the person singing is still waiting for his "other half" to come Back since he never met anyone like his lover and he sees himself in her/him. he really talks about how sad he has been since the person he loved left and how he has been trying to give her/him signs for them to be together cause he desnt knows where she/he is and asks her if she/he Will acctually be Back

2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:a song of perfect love and how this person lost it. they what to have hope that it was for the best but have no hope in it. its basically saying nothing perfect will ever last. there was probably never any conflict in this love “we were too close to the stars” and eventually it just didnt work out. everything was so perfect that it was too perfect.

3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:i see it as, chip found their person as he is trying to find himself. he rather lose somebody then use them. he rather put himself through something then use somebody to get better.(possibly from substance abuse) especially someone who is just like him. now he is just waiting sadly til they finally come back but doesnt seem like they want to or they ever showed signs they did. and maybe its “a blessing in disguise”. but now its time for the other person to heal.

it seems this song pertains to a person whom he got closed that he can see his self in her and hoping the girl feels that too.its like a twinflame might be.

I see this song about two drug addicts. In love. Getting high together. Getting "too close to the stars". Too close that one has a close call and ends up in the hospital. The singer wonders "when" they're coming back, later "if". He sees his "reflection" in his lovers eyes because they're both addicts. They both have the same demons. Just that the other "fell just as hard" as they were using.
The singer's "been sad" since the lover was hospitalized. He proposed the liver getting help, "I tried to put it out for you to give", but the lover didn't accept it. And he sees himself the same way, as that reflection. -

I feel like this was about two lovers
Everything between them felt just like a dream and it just was time to wake up , When one of them realized that he was using the other one to heal a wound and decided to end the relationship because he'd rather lose his lover than use him to get over his past trauma
So he chose to heal himself
And now feels like he chose his happiness over his lover's
Result : they're both unhappy -
i believe this song is about a person(the same person who was mentioned in the song "wires") and the person the singer planned to grow and achieve platform in music with. but they fell apart, even though they were very close to achieving what they wanted(that is being a name in the industry) and its about the singer justifying himself and the partner he left that he'd rather lose someone than use them, that is the partner in this case. i have this strong feeling that the neighbourhood was a team of two before someone left and it became what it is right now.

I think it’s about two lovers who seem to not have worked out but one of them is wanting it to work out
-
About two lovers who were together and everything was perfect, but somewhere along the way one of them starts to change. That person claims they still want the relationship but doesn’t try hard enough to actually show it. The other person tries their hardest to try to mend the relationship, and is hoping for them to go back to the person they once were, because they’re starting to lose hope in the relationship and they can’t imagine a life without the other, but what other choice do they have?
