The Neighbourhood - Sadderdaze Meaning
Sadderdaze Lyrics
But he could strum the guitar just fine
Every now and then he'd think about his life
Daydreamin' just to pass the the time
Now the sun is closer than it was before
Anyone who's anyone can feel...

#1 top rated interpretation:How the world keeps fucking you over. Repeatedly. And the singer doesnt get it. They dont get why things keep just not working out.

I feel like this is about putting high expectations on someone even if they don´t really get it now. Because of hte people´s expectation the singer grew up to be someone he hated.
-
my interpretation is that the singer had a dream, but everyone kept pushing him to do something he didn't want to, the line "Finally he found a way to reach the sky. But he didn't know what he'd find" can mean that the singer got to be what everyone wanted but he found out that it was just everyone elses dream put into him and not his own dreams, so he made everyone happy but he himself was unhappy. everyone used the singer to make him something he didn't want to be, so he starts losing interest in life by living with something he doesn't like. the line " Saturdays are not the same as they used to be. Sadder days, why do they keep on using me?" proving it.

i think it may be about being manipulated by someone you thought you could trust, and being used by them.
