   Pulling from personal things in my own life... I wonder if this is partially an internal battle as well as fighting for a lost love. Like he regrets what he has done and can't shake his feelings for them after the fact. He knows he has done something wrong and regrets it but even if he and the other person tries to convince him that it was for the best and it would never work out, he knows that they are the ONE person that it WILL work out for... or maybe it's just my feelings now lol
