The song is about him wanting to be with his lady and not wanting another woman’s love. We get hints to a rival female who might be someone else’s girlfriend and she is in love with Tim McGraw. She has asked him out on a date on Friday night. Tim McGraw knows that the rival female is young, pretty, and could be a threat to him and might pick a fight with his wife (Faith Hill) Tim McGraw decides to stay with Faith Hill, but still fears that the rival female will come back to steal him away from her.
