Twenty One Pilots: Fall Away Meaning
Fall Away Lyrics
I don't wanna fall, fall away
I don't wanna fall, fall away
I'll keep the lights on in this place
'Cause I don't wanna fall, fall away
I disguise
And I will lie
And I will take my precious time
As the days melt away
As I stand in...
-
I think this song is about him not wanting to fall away ( to die). He disguises his feelings and he takes his time on thinking of what he has done (his crime) and he dies as hes waiting on his crime ( im guessing of his thoughts?) Someone is trying to control him, he wants his way. He is dying and trying to fight but covers it up by making it seem like hes fine but hes far from it.
Eventually his conscience is going away which is helping him fight to stay alive. After the chorus he is saying that whenever he is trying to work on himself and achieve his goals he stops to help others with theirs. And after he tries helping people for so long he loses himself and gets a new name, and identity and his new name is destined to the grave, and he fears this so he is trying to hold on to what he has left of himself so he does not fall away from himself.
