Weezer: Beverly Hills Meaning
Song Released: 2005
Beverly Hills Lyrics
My automobile is a piece of crap
My fashion sense is a little whack
And my friends are just as screwy as me
I didn't go to boarding schools
Preppy girls never looked at me
Why should they I ain't...

#1 top rated interpretation:This is about a guy who dreams of being famous and rich, but he knows he can't because "its something that your born into, and I just don't belong."

Thus song is definitely written in well executed sarcastic manner. If you think this sing is about a guy that wants to fit in to Hollywood, then you're being made fun of as well through his sarcastic lyrics.

This is about a human who found that there is another level of humanity. Humans with special powers. These humans can read minds and make people do what they want. Most of these people tend to be movie stars or scientist and people who do amazing things that the normal humans just cant do.
He is wishing he was part of the higher class of human mind power but the truth is he doesnt stand a chance and you have to be born into. He says he doesnt belong and he will always will be that way. And when he says watch the stars he doesnt mean famous people he means the stars above, which he looks to and wishes they would make something of him because he doesnt have the answer. -
The wish of being in the life with the stars. Having all te glamor and everything. The big cars and money and stuff. But that's not reality you have what you have so be true to yourself and happy for all that you do and achieve I this lifetime.
Sure everyone wants to famous and remembered in some sort of way dream big but not over the top. But what you dream you can believe. You do have to be plastic to be great. -
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

This is a piece Rivers put together to poke fun at the materialistic and idolized lives of the rich and famous. Rivers would never sell out like the rest do, I mean the guy went to fucking Harvard.
-
this is about the want to be famous
-
This is a song about him wanting to live the "American dream" basically...
just to be a rich spoiled prep.
