A Beautiful Lie Lyrics

Lie awake in bed at night
And think about your life
Do you want to be different?
Try to let go of the truth
The battles of your youth
'Cause this is just a game

It's a beautiful lie
It's the perfect denial
Such a beautiful lie to...

He is saying that his dream/daydream (the lie) is better than what his life really is. This song is pretty much wanting a new start or a new life.

I agree with the second comment. I also think that he means people are meaning to protect him by lying to him, they are protecting him.
by the way, JARED LETTO(I think that is his name) IS AMAZINGY HOT AND I LOVE HIM!!!

I think that he is saying that this lie, the, or a lie is better then reality, like when he says,"Lie awake in bed at night
    And think about your life
Do you want to be different?
Try to let go of the truth
    The battles of your youth
'Cause this is just a game"
maybe he's talking about lying awake and daydreaming
    and that's better then reality
you go through everyday waiting to just
sit in bed at night to finally day dream
cause its so much better then reality.
that life and reality and all the lies
    its all just a game.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
