The Great Disappointment Lyrics

I can remember a place I used to go
Chrysanthemums of white, they seemed so beautiful
I can remember, I searched for the amaranth
I'd shut my eyes... to see

Oh, how I smiled then, so near the cherished ones
I knew they would appear... saw...

The great dissapointment is about an event in history called " the great disapointment'. The great disapointment happend because in around 1843 somechristian denominations belived that jesus was going to return. These peaople who belived this were led by william miller. Once you know this you can see the meanings in the lyrics pretty clear.
" can remember...dreamt them so vividly
Soft creatures draped in white, light kisses gracing me
I can remember when I first realized dreams were the only place to see them" in this verse in it is about angels and realizing that they were wrong and jesus wasnt comingalso "Hope was wasting away.
    Faith was wasting away.
I was wasting away" see its kind of obvious any wayz enjoy =D P.S afi rock my sox!!!! also batman is kinda sxc lol :p
