Alex is talking about being nervous to leave Maryland. It's his home, the only other place he knows is Essex, England, which he's only seen when he was still a child.
If were going off of the music video, he could be talking about wanting people to remember something good that happens. It reflects on racism, homophobia, and bullying. He wants people to forget about all of that, and just have good times.
People need to know that the punks are gonna pick fights, you're gonna have some fun late nights, the skater kids, laughing until you cry, putting your middle fingers up until they trip over their ego. The devil may care about what he and the rest of the band are doing, but they didn't mind. Chasing girls they want, looking at the moon over a bonfire. It's about him never wanting to leave that 'sunset town' because that's all he's ever known and forgiven things are scary. It's in human DNA to be afraid of things, and that's what he's talking about.
He's going to hate saying goodbye to his hometown, we all do, but he will never forget any of the good times he may had while there, and he will always remember all of the amazing things that happened. -
Good times as Alex has said himself is about looking back on your past and home him talking specifically about his home in Maryland and being nervous to leave.
