All Time Low - Keep The Change You Filthy Animal Meaning

Keep The Change You Filthy Animal Lyrics
Or does your lack of conscience tell you every-thing's alright,
I trust your good intentions, that you're watching over friends,
But you must think that I"m crazy, if I don't see through that...

#1 top rated interpretation:This song is about a girl who likes a guy but the guy likes the girl's best friend, so the girl tells her best friend a bunch of crap about the guy so the best friend won't like him and the girl can have him.
Key line:
"Couldn't have me, I didn't want you, You're selling me out to the girl I can't afford to lose." -
My interpretations are never quite "accurate," probably because my imagination is a little weird or something, idk, but here's what I always imagine listening to this song.
He's talking about a girl he was with for a long time, but ended in a bad break-up. Now she's being a total bitch to him and spreading rumors about him even though it's completely obvious to him that she's still into him. However, he's moved on and is crazy about this one girl, but his ex is ruining it for him by telling all his secrets.
