Angels & Airwaves: Start the Machine Meaning
Start the Machine Lyrics
-
Those who say that this is about toms breakup wit blink 182 are not very open minded. When I hear this sone, I hear a story that follows their WWII theme. I see a soldier whose comrades are all dead and he's dying too. He looks out to sea where the wind blows all the ash. He's wounded soo his pain is physical as well as mental. His pain is mixed with feelings of fear amd passion obviously. His last words he wanted to be found so carved them into stone. He aslo has a wife/girlfriend back home he wants to see again, hence the last verse.

This song is about Tom leaving Blink182 and his adventures of starting a new band (Angels and Airwaves)
"and you know i wont say sorry"
"The pain has a bad reaction"
