Avenged Sevenfold: 4 am Meaning

Album cover for 4 am album cover

4 am Lyrics

There comes a day when we all find out for ourselves
That once we have the words to say,
There's no one left to tell
I know why you're running away.

There's a place where nothing seems to be assembled quite cohesively
It's all your mind,...

This song is actually a confession from M. Shadows about his almost suicide after losing Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. Pretty tragic when you think about it.

I feel that this song is about saying what you mean to say before it's to late. "Their cone a time when we all find out for ourselves that once we have the words to say theirs no left to tell" I feel that this is saying don't overthink life. It will mess up in the end when the person you want most is gone. Don't hold back your feelings. Don't hide yourself. Just he you. Say what's on your mind. I may be completeley off though.

first off, thankx for submitting the lyrics. i feel this song is about a person, whether its a girfriend or anyone, that you have something important to them. you cant say it to them because they either died or they moved, or whatever. may not even be your fault, but it happens to everyone, because we are sadly human. this is conveyed in the first line of the chorus. you are left to deal with this bitch of a world. conveyed in first line of verse 1. ive personnaly experienced this many times. guess god doent like me too much but thats OK :]
